ÌìÓ鴫ý Warhawks take on Red Wolves in nationally televised game Oct 13

The University of Louisiana at Monroe invites all Warhawk fans to come "Maroon Out" and see Katherine Putnam, Miss Louisiana 2009, as she flips the game coin for a nationally televised audience at 7 p.m., Oct. 13, in Malone Stadium.


The ÌìÓ鴫ý Warhawk football team takes on the Arkansas State University Red Wolves in front of ESPN2 cameras next Tuesday, so attendees are encouraged to proudly wear their Warhawk spirit and blanket the stadium in maroon.

ÌìÓ鴫ý students who wear maroon to the game will have the opportunity to win a wide variety of different prizes that total more than $6,500. Prizes for ÌìÓ鴫ý students wearing maroon include:

• Twelve hours of in-state spring semester tuition
• Free Maroon Meal Plan for spring semester
• Free reserved Parking Space
• Two $1,000 Halftime Contests
• Three Cash Prizes to the Most Spirited Student Organizations (Total $1,500)
• ÌìÓ鴫ý Residential Life Laundry Gift Certificates

The ÌìÓ鴫ý Warhawk team is off to its best season start since 1993 and will enter the game riding a two-game winning streak, sitting atop the Sun Belt Conference standings with a perfect 2-0 league record.
